Mikko Lagerstedt

Finnish landscape photographer Mikko Lagerstedt has spent 18 years developing a deeply personal vision rooted in the quiet, atmospheric landscapes of Finland and the wider Nordic region.
My goal is to capture the feeling of a landscape. I love the quiet, the solitude, and the atmosphere.
The versatility and the outstanding optical quality. It's lightweight and built to last. The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is ideal for capturing beautiful moments.
Mikko Lagerstedt's approach to photography is shaped by patience and intention. He works within landscapes that reward stillness, seeking moments where light, mist, and silence converge into something worth preserving. His images rarely shout; they invite. This philosophy has guided not only how he creates but also the equipment he chooses.
Mikko's relationship with Nikon began with the Nikon D90, a camera that set the foundation for a lifelong commitment to the Nikon ecosystem. Today he works with the Nikon Z 8 paired with a selection of NIKKOR Z lenses, including the NIKKOR Z 14–24mm f/2.8 S, the NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S, the NIKKOR Z 24–70mm f/2.8 S II, and the NIKKOR Z 70–200mm f/2.8 S. He values the versatility and optical quality the system delivers in demanding outdoor conditions, and has a particular appreciation for the NIKKOR Z 24–70mm f/2.8 S II for reliably preserving fleeting, beautiful moments in the field.
