Dhan Limwattana

Vienna-based street and people photographer Dhan Limwattana is a visual storyteller whose work spans street photography, portrait, lifestyle, and commercial production.
The strongest photographs are the ones that feel real. I am always searching for authentic moments and the small details that often go unnoticed.
Dhan's photographic philosophy is rooted in observation, patience, and a deep respect for genuine moments. His approach combines clean composition, vibrant colour, and natural storytelling to produce images that feel cinematic yet honest, a sensibility shaped largely by years of practicing street photography across Vienna and Europe. His relationship with Nikon began on his 17th birthday, when he received a Nikon D5300 paired with the AF-S DX 18–55mm kit lens. That single camera and lens became his entire creative toolkit through his early years, reinforcing a belief that vision matters far more than equipment. From the D5300 he progressed through the Nikon D750 before moving fully into the Nikon Z series, working extensively with the Nikon Z6, Nikon Z6III, Z5II, Zf, and ZR across both photography and filmmaking. Today his primary lenses are the NIKKOR Z 17–28mm f/2.8, NIKKOR Z 28–75mm f/2.8, and NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2. He values the 28–75mm in particular for its versatility and its lens flare characteristics, which complement the cinematic quality he consistently pursues in his personal work.
